
The two men most responsible for the Constitution demonstrate their familiarity with the document
It’s been two weeks since the Inauguration. Horatius is gracious enough to give the new President, and all those who were so ecstatic and rapturous at his taking office, a bit of a break.
No sniping over the extravagant cost of the party (considering the ongoing excoriation of bailout recipients doing similar things). No pointed criticism of the lack of much that could be identified as firm, specific, or indeed substantive in the historic Address. No contrasting of the allegedly millennial advent of peace, love, and brotherhood with the catcalls and chants against the outgoing President, or with the still-battling-Bull-Connor words of Rev. Lowery.
In regard for what was and is truly an important and necessary milestone for the United States, the Aristocratick Combination has observed a moment of silence - which is now at an end. Back to the fray!
